事情已经过去了十好几年，但现在想来仍如昨日，让人记忆犹新、历历在目。那些事情如果单独发生的话，实在算不上什么稀奇古怪的事，然而，当它们仿佛约定好了似的，一个个接踵而来，又不能不让人感到震惊不已。
这件事发生在1998年，当时正值夏天。我清楚地记得那天是星期一，阳光明媚，万里无云，非常晴好的一天。我正在吃早饭，听到大街上一阵喧闹，正在诧异时，二堂弟过来说他对门的邻居小仙服毒了，已经开车送往城里医院，让我上班时到姑姑家跟姑姑说一声。
姑姑是小仙的媒人，她上个星期五刚从济南回来。小仙的母亲要姑姑通知男方，结婚前再拿五千元出来，否则就不结婚。
小仙和我同岁，是一个很温顺、很漂亮、性格也很内向的女孩子。姑姑为她介绍的男孩和姑姑一个村。由于姑姑常年在外，回来后第二天又正好星期六，很少和自己的孙儿、孙女在一起的姑姑，就想和孙儿、孙女在家团聚团聚。至于小仙要求的五千元，姑姑回到家就通知了男方。男方一开始只愿拿出三千，但在小仙母亲坚持不退让的情况下，也只好同意。他们说这个星期一凑齐。可没有想到这小仙竟然走上了这条路。（究竟原因为何，与本文宗旨无关）
吃过早饭，我蹬上车子就急忙去姑姑家通知这件事，要男方带钱赶紧过去。到了姑姑家，一说这事，表嫂说了一件奇怪的事：就在我刚到她家之前，她去西屋放东西，桌子上的一个碗，掉下来摔碎了。不是平平常常地那种摔碎，而是很奇怪地摔碎——表嫂说根本没有碰到它，它就掉下了桌子，而且这碗第一次掉到地上并没碎，又弹起老高，再次掉落时才摔碎的。我说那怎么可能，不碰它它又怎么会掉呢？你一定是碰着了！至于弹起老高再碎，跟碗落地时的角度，或者说和碗接地的方位有关。可表嫂坚持说没有碰到这碗，而且也从来没有见过这种奇怪的摔碎碗的方式。我心里暗笑表嫂迷信，不过也没再说什么，就上班去了。
上午下班后再去姑姑家，又听到了两件奇怪的事，再加之早上的碎碗事件，不能不让我感到其中的怪异。表哥说就在我离开姑姑家不久，伯父又去了姑姑家。表哥带伯父去男方家说小仙的事，由于当时伯父没有吃饭，表哥就去代销店买了两瓶啤酒。到了男方家，刚放在桌子上，就炸裂了一瓶。大家都说是不祥之兆，不是喝酒的时候，于是就赶紧吃饭。
饭后，男方的家人就把准备好的五千五百元钱，装进了一个刚买来的新提包内，匆匆出发。谁知刚刚出了家门，一件意想不到的事情发生了——新买的提包断了一个带子。于是，就又赶快回家换皮包。换完皮包，接着走，哪料想还没走出家门三十步远，二堂弟去了，说不用带钱了，人已经断气了。
就在小仙服毒自杀后不久，村里又发生了一件奇怪的事，村里有一位女孩青青去青岛打工。有一天上班时，突然昏迷，人事不醒。她的爸爸就赶忙去青岛给她看病。去医院检查，结果什么毛病也没有。但自那次晕厥以后，青青就开始出现间歇性晕厥，醒来后则和常人无异，就这样一连犯了很多次。后来，她的爸爸带她去北京，上海等地的医院去看，也没有查出个所以然来，一查都是正常。就这样，钱花了不少，但病还是照犯。无奈之下，青青奶奶让她爸爸带青青去找当地的神婆“邪看”一下。本来抱着的是试一试的态度，然而结果让人意想不到的是，青青的病居然再没有犯过。
也是青青，一天上午，我正在吃午饭。突然，前面传来一阵哭喊声，就赶忙跑出去看。原来哭声是从青青家传来的，到她家里时，她正躺在地上，满脸苍白，鬓发凌乱的样子。青青的姐姐正抱着她哭，青青的精神很是错乱，一会哭、一会笑的，一副发疯的样子。最让人奇怪的是青青有时说话的样子像极了小仙的神态和语气，并时不时的用手去指自己的衣服。原来她的衣服是小仙为她做的。小女孩的姐姐曾经和小仙一起做过裁缝，村里人都知道。看着青青说话的神情语气，大家都感到毛骨悚然的。后来，本村的一位医生过来，掐着她的人中，她才慢慢的缓了过来，但还是说一些不着边际的胡话，后来我奶奶来了，用了一碗清水、几根筷子念念叨叨地为青青“破解”了一番，青青的情绪才慢慢地平息了下去。当然，这件事发生在青青犯病期间。
青青身上发生的两件事很奇怪，我第一次感觉到“鬼”的存在。因为我有生以来第一次见到了迷信居然能够“战胜”医学的咄咄怪事。
我是一个无神论者，一直以来，我都不相信大自然中有鬼神的存在。即使今天，或者将来，我也仍然不会相信那些所谓的鬼神。但小仙服毒后，接连发生的这几件事情看似简单孤立、平淡无奇，却又处处透露着蹊跷和诡异，让我百思不得其解。而开始我对表嫂的那碎碗解释的怀疑也最终烟消云散了。也许，大自然中真的存在着某种神秘的力量，在预示着一些事情的发生和结果。或者说当一些事情要发生时，往往事先带有某种神秘的警示和征兆。但这一切，我们却又永远无法用科学去做出合理的解释。
也许，我们只能把这种种的神秘概而称之为一种“超自然的力量”。
